Great new! Our Firefox addon is out of beta.

Our blog has all the details. You can download it from the official Firefox directory page.

We also have a new equivalent plugin for Internet Explorer. It's in beta and we'd love your feedback on it. You can directly download the .msi installer.

Hello everyone!


I'm the new community manager at True Knowledge. My first day was yesterday and I'm diving right into the thick of it.

My role is very simple really: I am the ears of True Knowledge to hear your suggestions and feedback, and I am your voice inside the company to convey your ideas internally. If you have any questions or thoughts or problems, please let me know.

The best way to let me know is by posting something here on these forums for everyone's benefit. If you need to talk to me privately, please use the Submit a Request link at the top (just under the True Knowledge logo).

Introducing the True Knowledge Firefox Add-on (alpha)

The True Knowledge Firefox Add-on is a new product that we're currently working on (it is still in an "alpha" pre-release stage).

It's a Firefox Add-on that enhances your regular search results.

The way it works (once installed) is each time you make a search on Google, Yahoo, Live or Ask your query is simultaneously (without interfering with what you're doing) run through True Knowledge's answer engine;  if our system can find a useful, direct answer to enhance your search then it'll insert it above your regular search results.  If it doesn't find anything useful then your search results will remain unchanged.

We'd love to get a few of our users playing with the plugin.  Here is the link to download it:

Feedback

If you have any feedback or ideas for us regarding this Firefox Add-on please post them in this special forum we've set-up.

Known issues

Here is a list of known issues we are working on:

  • The most relevant image to go with the answer is not always used.
  • There is quite a bit of presentation work that need doing.
  • The "tell us more..." feedback box is currently being hidden.
  • If you use punctuation in your search it may result in a bad link back to the full answer on True Knowledge (try "list Madonna's albums")
  • There are some Yahoo specific presentation issues that need fixing.
  • Some of the time we return answers that aren't at all helpful (try searching for "apple.com" once the plugin is installed).

These issues should all be resolved in the next week or so.
